Responsible Gaming

Decide your limit before you follow any link

Set an amount you can afford to lose before you start, and treat it as the cost of the entertainment rather than money you expect back. Deciding in advance removes the pressure to work it out in the moment, when judgement is at its weakest.

Once that amount is gone, stop. Chasing a loss by raising the stake to recover it is how a fixed, affordable cost turns into an unplanned one.

Keep gambling separate from money you cannot spare

Never gamble with borrowed money, rent, bills or money set aside for something else. Gambling is only affordable when losing the full amount changes nothing else in your life.

Take breaks during play and between sessions. A pause gives you a chance to notice whether you are still enjoying it or just continuing out of habit.

If it stops feeling like entertainment, tell someone early, a friend, a family member, or one of the organisations named below. Raising it early is easier than raising it once money or time lost has grown.

Find the independent help links on this page

Like every page on this site, this page carries links to three independent organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. They are the only links on this site that are not commercial: they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisation's own site. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one.

Know what this site checks, and what it does not

The eighteen-and-over restriction is stated on the front page and repeated at the end of every operator listing. Nobody's age is verified on this site itself, and no gambling takes place here; any age check happens at the destination once you follow a link there.

Each of the ten operator listings ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice.

Understand where account controls actually live

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one of these controls on, check its status, or enforce it.

Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published on this page.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on past behaviour. If you want limits, checks or a break enforced, that has to be arranged directly in an account at the destination site.
